Who We Are
Northern Remote Concrete is a 100% Territory-owned, 100% woman-owned civil construction and infrastructure maintenance company based in Katherine, Northern Territory. Established in 2011, we have spent over 14 years building a reputation for delivering quality civil construction and maintenance works in some of Australia's most remote and challenging environments.
We are not just a concrete company. We are a full-service civil contractor operating across the Katherine Region, East Arnhem Region and Barkly Region, with the plant, people and experience to take on complex infrastructure projects across the Territory.
Our Credentials
With over 14 years of industry experience, our team has worked on a variety of projects. The NT Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) currently trusts Northern Remote Concrete to hold not one but two concurrent NT Government period contracts; for bridge, culvert and invert maintenance across the Katherine Region, and for the repair and maintenance of Central Arnhem Road, Ramingining Link Road and surrounding local roads in the Nhulunbuy Region. Historically we have held a combined total of 168 months (14 years) of period contracts for the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure across Katherine, Arnhem Land, Buntine Highway, Victoria Highway, Tenant Creek, Roper River and the Barkly Region. These contracts reflect our proven ability to self-manage, self-mobilise and deliver to government standards across vast and remote road networks.
Our People
Our entire team are Territorians. From our management to our on-site crew, everyone who works for Northern Remote Concrete lives and works in the NT. We invest heavily in our people through training, apprenticeships and pathways to leadership, because we believe the Territory's workforce is our greatest asset. We are proud to employ Indigenous Territorians in permanent roles and are committed to creating meaningful employment opportunities in the remote communities where we work.
Our Capability
We are entirely self-sufficient on-site. With our own fleet of heavy and light vehicles, excavators, graders, rollers, concrete batching plant, camp infrastructure and fuel storage. We can mobilise to virtually any location in the NT and operate independently for the full duration of a project. When emergencies strike whether it be floods, cyclones, road closures, we respond.

Our Locations
Northern Remote Concrete maintains operational yards and infrastructure at Katherine, Nhulunbuy and Ramingining, positioning us perfectly to service works across the Central Arnhem Road corridor and surrounding regions without the mobilisation costs and delays that come with contractors that don't understand, operate and live in the Territory like us.
Our Katherine yard serves as our main base of operations, supporting works across the Katherine Region and Stuart Highway corridor. Our Nhulunbuy and Ramingining presence means we have boots on the ground in East Arnhem, ready to respond to scheduled maintenance, emergency works and community projects across one of the NT's most remote and critical road networks.
Our Story
Northern Remote Concrete was born out of a simple belief, that the Territory deserves a civil contractor that truly understands it. We started in Katherine in 2011 with a commitment to delivering quality work in remote conditions, and we have grown steadily ever since. Over 14 years we have built lasting relationships with government clients, remote communities and Territory businesses, expanding our capability, our fleet and our footprint across the NT. We are not chasing the Territory from the outside, this is home, and everything we do reflects that.
